Born in South Florida in 2009, Brooklyn Water Bagels set out to answer the age-old question: Why do New York bagels taste so much better? Hint: It’s all about the water.
Every Brooklyn Water Bagel location uses its proprietary system to recreate the natural composition of the water that flows from the Catskill Mountains into Brooklyn. That “Brooklynized” water is used throughout the restaurant — including in the kettles where their old-school, New York-style bagels are boiled before being baked fresh daily, giving them that classic crunchy outside and chewy inside.
The menu goes well beyond a bagel and schmear. There are all-day breakfast sandwiches, including the loaded Brooklyn with eggs, bacon, sausage, ham and cheese; smoked salmon and cream cheese; deli bagel sandwiches like pastrami, corned beef, egg salad and whitefish, plus muffins, black & white cookies and assorted rugelach.
They take their coffee just as seriously as their bagels. High-quality Arabica beans are roasted fresh and brewed using that Brooklyn water. At the self-serve coffee station, you have your choice of artisan blends, plus plenty of creamers to create the perfect cup. For iced coffee fans, their signature Cubsta is made with coffee ice cubes — so as they melt, your coffee never gets watered down.
